Painting Crew Lead
Location: Duluth, MN Type: Full Time
Job Description

We are looking for a Painting Crew Leader for our Duluth apartment complexes. The crew lead is responsible for managing our paint department of 2 fulltime and up to 20 part time painters. This is leadership position where a mix of managing staff and hands on responsibilities are required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate as a member of the maintenance team with the Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Manager
• Budget, maintain inventory and track paint colors for all buildings and finishes
• Ensure our high standards for timely and correctly completed of work orders
• Perform hands on painting/drywall/texturing
• Establish and uphold daily expectations and goals for painting staff.

Job Requirements:
• Applicants should have 5+ years in painting and 1+ years of managerial experience.
• Maintain a professional, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful attitude with the Residents and fellow employees.
• Ability to create a positive, upbeat and energetic workplace for staff
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, relationship building and customer service skills
• Extensive knowledge of all stages of drywall, painting, texture, and refinishing work
• Proficient on a computer and iPhone, with email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Able to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage own work and delegate to others
• Able to work a flexible work schedule, evenings and weekends as needed
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical ability to move around buildings and grounds in all weather conditions; Bend, stretch, stoop, stand, sit, balance, climb stairs and ladders; Lift, carry, push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds and maximum of 125 pounds with assistance
